2025 pick-ups complete — 715 lbs delivered!

Lawton Community Food Drive

Nov 1 - 23

Thanks to neighbors across Lawton, Cache, and Elgin, shelves are stocked heading into the holidays. Even though pick-ups are closed, there are still plenty of ways to help the Lawton Food Bank year-round.

Why We're Filling the Shelves

Food insecurity continues to rise in the state of Oklahoma, with more than one in six households struggling to afford groceries each week. Local pantries are stretched thin as holiday demand surges.

Lawton Community Food Drive unites families, schools, and donors to close the gap. Every can, box, or bag of groceries helps provide stability for kids heading into the winter months.

FAQ: How You Can Help

How can I donate food?

Our 2025 pick-up window has closed after collecting 715 lbs of food.

Late donations can be dropped off directly at the Lawton Food Bank (1819 SW Sheridan Rd.) or coordinated by calling (405) 555-1108.

Neighborhood pick-ups will return next fall. Share the effort with friends and neighbors so we can plan bigger routes in 2026.

Accepted items:

  • Non-perishable, shelf-stable foods such as canned meats, soups, beans, vegetables, pasta, rice, cereal, and peanut butter.
  • Please avoid glass containers.
Where do the donations go?

All collected food goes directly to the Lawton Food Bank, our community partner.

If you would rather donate money, the Food Bank can stretch each dollar through bulk purchases, often turning just $1 into several meals for families in need.

Why are we doing this?

With Thanksgiving approaching and SNAP benefits tightening, more Oklahomans are struggling to afford groceries.

Every can, box, or dollar helps local families put steady meals on the table through the winter.
